A light was shone,
into mine eyes.
From inside you,
It was the first for me.

You always held me close,
You always gave me food.
When sick was I,
The nurse you were shone out.

Lots you taught,
Much more imparted.
Much of me you held,
much less of you could I.

From inside mine eyes,
Were you ever really there?
Every time I let me out,
Was every time you pushed away.

People often make mistakes,
But never with their very selves.
This the baby knew,
This the baby became.

Mommy dearest,
You were the best for me;
Even though you left when,
It was the first for me
